Every project starts with listening to our clients’ dreams and desires for their backyard space. It is then our job to read between those lines and create the vision and details for the entire project. The Amelia Court project was no different in that process. A young, growing family looking to elevate the entertainment areas and still have a space for the kids to grow and use of the yard and pool through the years was of importance when coming up with the design.
Materials were a big part of how this project finished out and tied in seamlessly with the house. A very transitional house with clean lines and light colors blends well with the use of white quartzite. The end result is just as thought of as you would the interior of your home. Raised walls and planters for privacy and a courtyard type feel and give an opportunity to incorporate more texture with the split face materials. The flush spa with negative inverted edge allows for the addition of Island Stone lava glass to bring more color and become a focal point.
The firepit gives the clients another space to gather while the dining area is set back from the pool. The chaise loungers and dining table areas are banded by synthetic turf. A large sun shelf in the pool gives kids a place to play and adults a place to relax.
